I own and operate Get It Wet Fishing Charters out of St. Catharines and also out of Port Colborne. We have been in business for 10 years now and started as a part time gig that has grown to full time passion.
We run a 30ft Sea Ray
My reel job that I love as well is being a rep for the best rigger and rod holder company in the world "Scotty". (what a plug that was) My territory is from N.Y. to N. Dakota. This covers all the Great Lakes.
I have 2 other partners Vito Dattomo and Gord Clare in this other venture that is called The Scotty Tournament Series. We are very excited this year as we have grown to 6 tournaments, 2 series, on 2 great lakes and a Magazine to promote it. I get jazzed everytime I talked about this project as we believe tournaments are the most exciting time to fish all year.
For some that follow hockey I am currently the head coach of the Port Colborne Sailors Jr. B hockey team. (don't look at our record, we had a tough year) I know how the Leafs feel-- HA HA.
I have been married for 9 years and have 2 daughters 5 and 7. Another few year and should have a co-ed father daughters fishing team.
We fish 8 tournaments per year. My team consists of my father Charlie, Shawn Barrett (Zeakertail), Gary Welch and Gord Hill. We have had some winning weekends and some not so winning weekends but what I can say is it's not all about winning money at these things(although it is nice), it's about fishing with great people, making good friends from different parts of the world and last, doing something you love to do for the weekend after a week of work.
In conclusion, I have been fortunate in my life to do things I love, I have a healthy family and get to fish with great people.
